This doesn't surprise me at all. My personal training clients have told me in the past that after they started exercising, they become a little more aloof and not so serious. I think it is due to a multitude of reasons such as increased endorphins, better body image, better sleep, etc.

Now that I've read this I notice that the people I know who exercise regularly seem to be happier than the ones that don't. Never really thought about it before. I read the "five ways to become happier today" and it is a must read. Who wouldn't want to be a happier person? Some simple things you can do to make yourself happier. Thanks for the info. I'm headed over to Big Think right now.
