October 2010 Newsletter

HalloweenThe fall season is full of fun holidays where food is certainly the focal point! Candy corns, chocolate treats and caramel apple for Halloween can be tempting treats.

But Halloween doesn’t have to be scary when it comes to health when you enjoy treats in moderation and make them yourself.

Halloween Cookies

Try these simple cookies in place of processed candies, and mix and match cocoa bats, pumpkin-shaped cookies , and hazy ginger moons for a frightfully fun cookie tray. Make the cookie dough ahead and cut out shapes and bake for a mess-free cookie party where you can serve spiced wine or Mexican style spiced hot cocoa.
