Most people are disappointed when they think of the end of summer, but I’m getting excited – because that’s when you get the most bountiful harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables from farmstands and homegrown gardens.
Tomato, corn, eggplant and fresh herbs are all available to make your favorite dishes – from Italian classics (like eggplant parmesan) to something new and surprisingly flavorful like the watermelon tomato salsa highlighted in last month’s newsletter.
