This recent study shows that people who lower calorie intake can dramatically boost immune function, a huge bonus for your body across the board! It’s great news, not only when it comes to keeping colds and flu at bay, but may also help us to look and feel younger, longer.

Meydani also says, “The finding is intriguing, because if restricting calories boosts immunity, it may be an indication that the aging process is slowed down in people who carefully control their diets. A weakened immune response is a well-known hallmark of aging, with our T-cells in particular becoming less effective as we grow older.”
