When I got together with Liz Vaccariello, editor-in-chief of Prevention Magazine, a while back, we quickly started talking about how to make everyday foods healthier.

For me, preparing your own, delicious salad dressings is one of the easiest ways that even beginning cooks can master in a snap.

In this video, we highlight three salad lovers’ dressings: how to make a traditional, simple balsamic vinaigrette, a honey mustard and finally a healthy ranch dressing.

The thing I love about these dressings is that mustard adds a lot of zing without any fat or calories, while the ranch dressing is made with non-fat Greek yogurt!
