Salmon Cakes

Serve salmon cakes on top of a lightly dressed mesclun or baby spinach salad. Sprinkle fresh chopped chives and enjoy as an alfresco lunch or the start to an elegant meal. Fish lovers will be hooked on this tasty preparation. A great way to use up leftover white wine and extra fresh herbs, these cakes also freeze beautifully.

Chocolate Toffee Grahams

These are a fast and simple treat, adapted from a recipe my granny used to make. Fun and fast, it’s the ideal recipe to make for an impromptu party or an easy, rewarding project to do with kids.

Kale Chips

Making kale chips is fast, easy, and cost effective. Any type of kale works, just be sure that your washed kale leaves are dry before adding olive oil for ultimate crisp chips!

Peppermint Biscotti

These festive cookies are so sweet but low in fat. Crunchy cookies with a hard candy coating make the perfect treat for kids with a mean sweet tooth or even prancing reindeer!

Crockpot Baked Apple Recipe Booklet

One of the most popular recipes on the site has been my ‘Crockpot Baked Apples’. That’s why I decided to create a bunch of additional crockpot apple recipes and make them available as a downloadable booklet. Get your copy today!

Turkey Chili

This turkey chili makes a tasty, high-protein meal, because it’s made with lean ground turkey. Get creative with the topping, a tablespoon of your favorite cheese, salsa, or sour cream. Beans add a good dose of fiber but if you want to ramp up the nutrition even more, add a handful of your favorite green, such as kale or spinach during the last minute of cooking.

Gluten-Free Lasagna

This is no ordinary lasagna, it’s gluten-free and fortified with two of my favorite superfoods, mushrooms and kale. Gluten-free diets can be unhealthy when you don’t include veggies, but this one dish meal has it all.

Simple Chicken Broth

Making your own chicken broth takes extra time but the flavor is worth the bother! A lot of commercial brands contain ingredients you don’t bank on when making a homemade meal — like artificial colorings, MSG, and gluten.
