5 Gifts for Mom Under $15

Passion PillowM other’s day is just around the corner and many of my friends are treating mom to a nice dinner out this year. But if you’re looking for something fun and inexpensive to give, here are some ideas that won’t break the bank and aren’t the same old box of bath salts mom usually gets.

Blue Pie Design

Last week, I was having a burger at my local French American bistro when a neighbor seated next to me, Greg, struck up a conversation with me about artistic and creative people. He told me about his mother Deborah and her design company called Blue Pie Design, selling everything from purses, paintings and photography. I gave Deb a ring to see if she could give me some fun gift ideas for mother’s day. I browsed through Etsy, an amazing site for artists and craftsmen to sell their hand-made work online – I especially loved her passion pillows featured there. They are perfect for moms who do yoga or just want to relieve a stress headache.

Miso Pretty

Miso Pretty Shopping BagI’ve always loved the quirky fun product line called Miso Pretty that Blue Q designs. I have a set of grocery bags that I get constant compliments on when I’m out and about. These inexpensive bags are perfect for the light traveler who likes to pack his/her own snacks for a trip to the beach. And these bags are really sturdy.

Hoyt Tea

Cosmo Cricket

They have uniquely designed papers with an antique feel to put your mom in “scrap book heaven”.

Yoga Serenade
