Ok ladies, hold on to your crocheted plant holders! I fell in love with this pungently witty, retro entertaining book by comedian Amy Sedaris the first time I saw it on the shelf at Melcher Design.
At first glance, it appears to be just a parody of a dated entertaining guide, however Amy actually provides us with real, tasty – albeit quirky – recipes from the 70’s that bring back plenty of memories for me. I watched Aunts, Uncles, and friends show up at family functions with plates of classic all-American wonders like Ambrosia salad, the 100-pound-cheese ball, and deviled eggs that Amy offers up graciously if not cautiously to her own guests.
A wonderful, hilarious read, “I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence” is heavy on nostalgia and absolutely delicious with extra added sarcasm!
This is very nice blog. Thanks for a nice share you have given to us with such an large collection of information. Great work you have done by sharing them to all. simply superb.
