Cherry Almond Smoothie


  • 1 cup frozen or fresh pitted cherries
  • 1 cup non-fat, plain yogurt
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup toasted whole almonds
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract


  • In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until smooth.
  • Serve immediately.

    I just made this and LOVED It!! I didnt have enough yogurt so I added some almond milk to get it to mix…Still enjoyed it and will make it again!

  2. I freeze the yogurt and used frozen mixed berries and used 1 teaspoon of Splenda instead of sugar. As usual I loved this recipe and it tastes just great.
